Supplying pics will instantly make your item stand out.  If you don't have a digital camera you will know someone who does and remember the second law of photography "You can't get too close".  If you don't know how to attach a pic to an email then learn.

Use The Bulletin Board  Keep interest in your event alive; thank sponsors, explain ticket prices, in fact do more to help yourself.  We can link to your postings from the home page so your postings will likely get you more coverage.

Month, Week, Day  To really get the best for your event tell us a month before, include pics and think of hook to hang your event on, Gerry Manilow (Barry's older brother) has kindly agreed to present the prize for the largest marrow.   A week before the event give us a different hook with new pics, Mr Manilow has been indisposed after catching his nose in the door but Group Captain Hamish McEdbanguh DSO has kindly agreed to present the Mega Marrow award.  Two days before the event give us a yet another hook and even more pics, After emergency surgery Mr Manilow will now be presenting the MM award but fete goers are requested to refrain from "I s'pose you think that's funny"  jokes.  Yeah, we know, hard work but it's what will get you the better response.
