Lesley moved to Framlingham in 2011 following her retirement from the Ministry of Justice where she worked for some 35 years. She studied at Westminster University and Harrow Business School; transferred to MoJ HQ from the courts in the 80s to work on procedural reform and legal aid. As a senior manager she worked on corporate strategy, publications and governance. She married her partner Roger in February 2016 to become Mrs Barrett, they previously lived in Essex. Her hobbies include gardening, craft making, travel, walking with the Alde Valley Ramblers, membership of the British Museum, National Theatre and Framlingham W.I. Time permitting she also enjoys watching Wimbledon and cricket. Joined the Town Council in 2016.
