With views of
the castle and
the
college the New Road allotments are pretty special.
Plots come in the flavours single (£16/year), quarter, double, and half
(£8/year). There is an allotments agreement to sign and rent is payable on 1st
April each year. There are currently no vacancies
but you can go on the
waiting list. |
| Annual
Parish Meeting |
|
A meeting for the
electorate, usually at the end of April, and
organised by the
Town
Council. It is probably the only time each year when
representatives from all the town's organisations can get
together for a good chinwag. There are brief reports from the
chairmen of the TC's six committees, other town organisations and
guest speakers such as the chief executive of SCDC and the Highways
Department. Then we fall on the refreshments (possibly including
cake)
and chat amongst ourselves. We try to make it convivial and everyone
is invited. |
| Welcome Pack |
We assemble a Welcome Pack
available free from the town council offices or the
Volunteer Centre.
It contains all sorts of good stuff including of course a copy of
Framfare,
and the Town Guide. |
| Town Guide |
|
A
town guide is produced periodically and distributed to each household
and is also available free from the town council offices, the
Volunteer Centre,
The Crown,
Library,
etc.
A new town guide will be produced in 2008. |

Monthly
Town Council meetings are normally the first Friday of the
month and are listed on the town notice board and
What's On. There is
always an adjournment for public comment or alternatively you can
moan at
Town Clerk.
The council minutes are available at Framlingham Library or
online. |
