Although Framlingham Town Council had asked to be notified by East Suffolk Council in advance of the new parking charges being introduced, we were not unfortunately told until after the event.  As a result we have not been able to provide any notice for the town, and apologise for the confusion.

THE CURRENT SITUATION
Fore Street car park: the meter is up and running and charging is being enforced.

Market Hill car park: the meter is live from Friday 20th November but has been incorrectly set up and as yet has no card reader. ESC anticipate that the settings will be corrected and the machine enabled to accept cards by Saturday 21st November.

The Elms car park: there are some contractual issues to be resolved before charging can be implemented. Car parking here is currently free, for the moment.

Where the meters are live, charges are applicable seven days a week from 8am to 6pm. On street parking spaces, including those on Market Hill, are not included in the “off street” parking order and are therefore still free.
