Interactive Coffee Morning
May 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The kettle’s on at Framlingham care home for interactive coffee morning
A care home in Framlingham is inviting the local community to join them for coffee, cake and a chat for Dementia Action Week.
The Care UK team at Mills Meadow care home, on Fore Street, will open their doors from 10am-12noon, on Monday 20th May, to host an Interactive Coffee Morning in support of the Alzheimer’s Society and Sue Ryder.
Jan Gregory, a Sue Ryder Dementia Together Navigator, and Chantal Sencier, Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Champion, will be on hand to speak to guests about care and support for people living with dementia in the community. There will also be the opportunity to learn about what it is like to have dementia and ways you can improve communication with people living with dementia.
Marie Reeve, home manager at Mills Meadow, said: “We understand how dementia impacts the lives of not only the people living with it, but also the lives of those around them. By hosting interactive coffee events, we can share advice and offer support to the local community in a relaxed way over a slice of cake and a coffee.
“It’s set to be a great morning and we hope to see lots of people from the community here on the day. We’d like to say a big thank you to Jan for joining us at this insightful event.”
Mills Meadow is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, dementia, and short-term respite care, as well as flexible day care at the adjacent Mills Meadow Day Club.
