Following a survey of users of the Fens and a report from Suffolk Wildlife Trust, the Town Council feel the Fens would benefit by being made more wildlife friendly, whilst maintaining respect for AK Cooper’s bequest of the land to the ‘People of Framlingham for walking, relaxation and contemplation’. Any changes made would be monitored closely and would be fully reversible should they be found to be unsuitable.
The Lands committee is seeking volunteers who could help achieve these aims as ‘Friends of the Fens’ under the supervision of the committee. Please contact the Deputy Town Clerk, James Overbury, (dtc@framlingham.com) if you wish to take part in this effort to make Framlingham more wildlife friendly.
