A planning application was submitted to East Suffolk Council (ESC) on 9th December 2020 for the new community rooms. The design of the proposed building is similar to that shown at the public exhibition in January 2020, though with some limited alterations to the layout and the inclusion of photovoltaic panels on the roof.

The PCC has decided to name the new building the Castle Community Rooms to reflect not only its geographical location but also the new nature and intent of what will be created, a modern, fit for purpose facility managed in partnership with the local community providing an accessible space for the benefit of Framlingham’s residents for many years to come.

Subject to obtaining planning permission and government Covid restrictions the PCC will, in the spring and summer of 2021, press on with the detailed design of the project and undertake further fundraising.

Progress on the project can also be found on the church website HERE
