During COVID, the Society has been producing monthly updates and has recently been delivering lectures by Zoom. Over the pandemic many societies have found it tough to keep their members in touch with events, as lectures and outings had to be cancelled, and so the frequency of written updates has been increased.  The first Zoom Talk was given by Tony Clarke on ‘The Clarkes of Framlingham’ which was very well attended and much enjoyed.

Future talks include:

Dr James David  Re-evaluating Suffolk’s medieval markets

Edward Martin  Lost Gardens of Suffolk

In more ‘normal’ times we hold lectures each month throughout the Autumn/Winter (inc. in subscription) and organise outings in the Summer months

If you would like to join the Society we would be delighted to welcome you. The annual subscription is £12 for a single membership and £18 for two people at the same address. Contact David Ransom (Chairman), cransom@btinternet.com, 01728   720145.

More information, recordings and back copies of the newsletters plus a superb collection of old photographs of Framlingham can be found on the web site: http://framlinghamarchive.org.uk/.  Details and times of talks at http://framlinghamarchive.org.uk/about/.
